We Provide Services to Strengthen Families

We provide support in the forms of financial assistance, family support and advocacy. 

Financial Assistance

Any child residing in a low-income household in Santa Barbara County and diagnosed with a critical illness before their 18th birthday is eligible for consideration. Bills are paid directly to the provider of the services. Services include and are not limited to rental assistance, utilities, car payments, car insurance, lodging assistance near hospitals, and child necessities. We provide emergency food vouchers and gas cards for families to travel to and from hospitals, while their child is hospitalized.

Family Support

Our family support program assists families by securing items such as transportation for upcoming medical appointments or gas cards for emergency trips to the hospital. We provide additional resources/referrals to other local organizations that may be outside our scope of support. We deliver items from our partnering organizations to the families we both serve.

Family Advocacy

We collaborate with families to help them navigate their child’s diagnosis and ongoing care. We can help families understand discharge instructions and feel supported in managing their child’s needs.
