On May 1, we celebrated our donors, volunteers, and other supporters at Convivo Restaurant with a happy hour celebration. We had the honor to have Dr. Heather Sherman, Pediatric Therapy Services Lead for Cottage Health, as our guest speaker. She shared her experience with Hearts Aligned and how she has seen first hand the impact that we have made with the children and their families.
“When families come into our care at Cottage Hospital, often it is the worst days of their lives. The uncertainty of their child’s health, the unknowing of what will come next, the frightening experience of medical procedures and simply being in the hospital in the intensive care units.”
Heather goes on to say, “So I want to thank all of you again, from the bottom most of my being, and for all those families that you have assisted in healing with your generosity. I truly believe that in order to have a high level of quality, we must have equity. Whether it be groceries, rent, or new tires on a car to make sure parents can be with their healing child, Hearts Aligned ensures all families are empowered.”

The evening was celebrated by many in attendance, including representatives from AIMdyn, CenCal Health, Cottage Health, Community West Bank, Montecito Bank & Trust, Santa Barbara Foundation, Santa Barbara Young Professionals Club.
