COMPASSIONATE COMMUNITY

It is beautiful when community comes together to support one another, where we see kindness and caring in others. It is one of the reasons I truly enjoy being part of Hearts Aligned and our Hearts to Hearts Valentine’s Luncheon.

Our 2nd Annual Hearts to Hearts Valentine’s Luncheon was a great success! The event sold out 3 weeks early. We had a packed venue with over 180 in attendance. We raised over $148,000 which will help us to continue our journey in serving even more critically ill children and their families in 2024. More details and pictures below.

We have much work to do this year as we continue to improve and grow our services to our community. We will be creating new strategic plans to provide additional resources to critically ill children and their families.

A BEAUTIFUL DAY AND CAUSE

The 2nd Annual Hearts to Hearts Valentine’s Luncheon took place on a beautiful sunny day. The sold-out event garnered attendance from more than 180 community members and raised over $148,000!

Janet Garufis, Chairman and CEO of Montecito Bank & Trust, was the Master of Ceremonies for the luncheon. Volunteers from Montecito Bank & Trust helped attendees check-in and check-out of the event. Richard Garnica, RG Photography, captured the afternoon with exceptional photographs. Margaret Lloyd, MJ Florals, handcrafted the elegant centerpieces.

Hearts Aligned honored Cottage Health with the Hearts to Hearts Community Service Award for their years of service and dedication to the community as well as for being a Hearts Aligned partner. Dr. Jeffrey Frazier, Pediatric Cardiologist and Pediatric Residency Program Director at Cottage Health accepted the award.

A big THANK YOU to the Luncheon Committee who worked tirelessly on the event and the volunteers that helped with setup, the Wine Pull (Drew Ponce), Silent Auction (Chrissy Magee) and the entrance photos (Junior League).

One of the highlights this year was a touching video, showing how Hearts Aligned came to help a single-mother in need after giving birth to her baby girl. Click the photo to see the video.
