Hearts Aligned Welcomes Two New Members to Board of Directors
Bringing Fresh Insight and Expanded Expertise to Support Critically Ill Children and Their Families
Santa Barbara, CA — June 30, 2025 — Hearts Aligned, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting low-income families with critically ill children, is proud to announce the addition of two new members to its Board of Directors: Catherine Remak, KLITE 101.7 Radio Host and Tom Fisher, CFA, CFP from Montecito Bank and Trust.

Catherine Remak
With over three decades of experience in radio broadcast, Remak has one of the most recognizable voices in the community of Santa Barbara. Remak has been the Morning Show Host for Santa Barbara’s KLITE 101.7 for 32 years, keeping listeners informed and entertained.
Remak is known as a “champion for non-profits”, collectively volunteering thousands hours as an emcee/moderator and auctioneer at countless events, helping to bring significant exposure and millions of dollars to local agencies. Remak has been the recipient of Congressional recognition for Making a Difference in the Community Through Broadcast, in 2020 was named “Woman of the Year” by the Santa Barbara Foundation and is recognized at Santa Barbara High School on the “Wall of Fame”. Most recently, she and her husband, District Attorney John Savrnoch, were awarded the “Remarkable Life Award” from Life Chronicles for making a positive difference together in the community.
Remak was the Development Director at the Council on Alcoholism for thirteen year, has served on the boards of The Friendship Center, Make A Wish, Court Appointed Special Advocates, Trust for Historic Foundation and the Santa Barbara Symphony.
Tom Fisher
Tom Fisher has deep roots in the banking industry and a passion for exceptional service, Tom is a highly distinguished portfolio manager with a focused and knowledgeable approach to providing his clients with objective investment advice and unparalleled results. Tom has over 35 years of investment management experience which includes overseeing assets for individuals, families, private foundations, and other charitable organizations. He holds a MS degree in Financial Services, is a Certified Financial Planner and Chartered Financial Analyst.
Tom has served on several Boards including Past President of the Rotary Club of Montecito and Treasurer of the Club Foundation, Former Board Member and Board Secretary of CARE4Paws, and Volunteered with the Financial Planning Association (FPA) to provide pro-bono financial planning to wounded military veterans and their families.
The expanded Board will play a key role in guiding the organization as it launches new programs and deepens its advocacy for families navigating pediatric medical crises.
With these additions, Hearts Aligned continues to strengthen its leadership team to meet growing community needs with compassion, expertise, and integrity.
